About Us

Phil, Masha and Brooke Dundas are quite the international family. Masha heralds from Russia, Phil is an Aussie and Brooke was born right here in the United States. We now live in Bergen County, New Jersey. We are all active travelers, with more than one hundred countries of the world visited between us.

Cycling across the US is the realization of a dream we have long held and are now excited to see come to reality. Heading off a this biking adventure is the culmination of many prior cycling trips in the US and around the world.

Humble Beginnings

In addition to the US and Australia, since taking up bike touring in 2022, Phil has been blessed with the opportunity to travel by bike through Central America, Central Asia, West, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the Caucuses.

2024 is the perfect timing for this adventure – the year before Brooke starts school full time and while she is still small enough (just!) to fit into the cycling trailer that Phil will pull along.

Journey

We expect travel around 35-40 miles a day, enjoying each day for what it is and not feeling too rushed. We will largely follow the Adventure Cycling Association TransAmerica and Pacific Coast routes, ensuring we stick to quieter back roads much of the way as we transverse the country!
